Botox Cosmetic and Dysport

Botox Cosmetic and Dysport, are wildly popular elective cosmetic injections that weaken the muscles that cause prominent wrinkles, such as frown lines, forehead furrows, crow’s feet around the eyes, bunny lines on the nose, lip lines, and drooping of the corners of the mouth.

In select cases, Botox Cosmetic and Dysport may be prescribed by Dr. Sarcia using very specialized techniques in facial shaping: to treat Blepharospasm,  Bell’s Palsy, and other facial asymmetry.

​

Results generally take 3 days or so to become noticeable and then typically last 3-4 months.

 

In order to maintain your results, injections will need to be repeated as muscle contraction and expression recur.

 

Fillers

Injectable Fillers are another non-surgical solution to the natural aging process. They fill in lines, smooth wrinkles and enhance the soft tissue of the face, lips, and hands.

​

Fillers may be formulated from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin, or from other slowly absorbable substances.

​

Filler injections:

• May smooth deep furrows or wrinkles.

• Restore volume to the cheeks or lips.

• Correct marionette lines and lines around the mouth.

• Correct a tear trough in the lower eyelid/cheek junction.

• Improve the appearance of the back of the hands from aging.

Filler injections may also be performed to enhance the results from plastic surgery.

​

The use of fillers may delay the need for surgery, or refine the outcomes of surgery.

 

While results are not permanent, the enhancement can last up to a year, and possibly longer depending on the product.
