Neck Lift
Neck lift surgery aims to improve signs of aging in the neck by repositioning and reshaping loose sagging skin and muscle, and can address excess fat deposits in the neck, and beneath the chin.
A Neck lift may be appropriate if you have loose or wrinkled neck skin or a double chin resulting from excess fatty tissue. Small volume Liposuction techniques may improve a double chin where skin is elastic and firm and does not require skin tightening. If skin tightening is needed, it is performed through inconspicuous incisions around the ears as well as a hidden incision in the crease under the chin.
This surgery can be performed in an outpatient setting and is most commonly performed under general anesthesia.
This procedure can be combined with others to further enhance facial rejuvenation.
Recovery time depends on the extent of your neck lift, and any accompanying procedures.
You may engage in light activity the day after your surgery. Return to more normal activity levels may take 1-2 weeks. Your appearance will gradually refine over the next 4-6 weeks.
Proper skincare and sun protection are essential during healing and to maintain your results.
Future weight gain or loss may influence the results of a neck lift.
Results may be long-term, however natural aging will continue after your procedure.
